Daniel Raminfard - Founder / Instructor

Welcome to the Raminfard School of Arts. Our mission is to give our students a sense of personal growth and satisfaction by helping them create works of quality art.

Our Art School is conveniently located in West Los Angeles. Students learn to create fine works of art in pencil and oils in just a few weeks of instruction.

Contemporary realist, Daniel Raminfard, was born in Tehran, Iran in 1978.  After moving to the U.S. with his family, Daniel began drawing at the age 5. He started painting at age 9 when he was enrolled an elite art school in West Los Angeles, CA. By the age of 18, Daniel started teaching art while working towards completing his degrees in philosophy and marketing.

Daniel’s work is heavily influenced by his Persian heritage as well as the Russian realists of the early 20th century. Until recently, his original artwork has been restricted to just a few private holdings in Southern California. Daniel is working on an exclusive collection of paintings to be sold publicly with themes ranging from traditional still-life to modern portraits.  All of his works are oil on canvas and can be purchased through this website.

Olivia Hill - Instructor

Olivia Hill was born March 18th, 1985 in Hinsdale, Illinois. At age three, Hill's family moved out to Los Angeles, California where she was thrussed into a faricated world of movie sets and mansions as her father, though owning no mansion of his own, was a music supervisor for film. Hill was introduced to the fundamentals of fine art at Mission Renaissance in La Canada and went on to complete 4 years at the L.A. County High School for the Arts. From 2002-2006 she lived in San Francisco where she obtained a BFA in painting from the San Francisco Art Institute. Out of a longing to find authenticity and cultural tradition in a hyper-accelerating society, Hill moved to New Orleans from 2007- 2010 to begin working as a full time artist from her Uptown studio. She embraced the New Orleans culture and it embraced her with representation at LeMieux Gallery, numerous group gallery shows, exhibitions at the Ogden Museum of Southern Art, the Baton Rouge State Museum and inclusion in many private and public collections throughout the South. In 2008 Hill received a grant from the New Orleans Downtown Development District to design art for a streetcar shelter on Canal Street as part of Prospect 1. That same year Hill was also invited to show at Art Basel in Miami. During her residency in New Orleans, she also taught art lessons privately, as well as at a French- American Elementary School and at public high schools as part of a Non-Profit Organization effort to restore art to schools ravaged by Hurricane Katrina. In the Autumn of 2010, Hill returned home to Los Angeles where she continues to paint and teach.
